Uke Tune Along Privacy Policy — Microphone and Analytics

The Uke Tune Along privacy policy explains local microphone processing, browser permissions, analytics, local storage, contact information, and user choices.

Our privacy promise

Uke Tune Along is designed so you can tune without an account. Microphone audio used by the tuner is analyzed locally inside your browser. We do not upload, record, or store that audio.

Microphone access

The tuner requests microphone permission only after you press the start button. Your browser and operating system control this permission. You can revoke it at any time in browser settings.

Website analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity when pages load to understand page visits, device categories, and interactions with the site. We do not intentionally send microphone audio, detected frequencies, or raw recordings to analytics providers.

Information you send us

If you contact us, we use the information you provide only to respond and improve the site. We do not sell personal information.

Contact

Questions can be sent to hello@uketunealong.com once the domain mailbox is active.

Browser storage and preferences

The site may use browser storage for settings that need to remain on the same device, such as an interface preference. This information stays in the browser unless a feature explicitly communicates with a server. You can remove it by clearing site data in browser settings. Private-browsing modes may delete it automatically when the session ends.

Microphone permission is managed separately by the browser or operating system. Clearing a site preference does not always revoke hardware permission, and revoking hardware permission does not necessarily clear other local settings. Use the site-information or permission panel in your browser to review both.

Data from normal web requests

Like most websites, hosting and security systems may process technical request information needed to deliver a page and protect the service. This can include an IP address, request time, requested path, browser or user-agent information, and security signals. Such processing is distinct from microphone audio: the raw audio analyzed by the tuner is not included in the page request.

We use technical logs for service operation, abuse prevention, reliability, and troubleshooting. We do not use them to reconstruct a microphone recording or sell a personal profile.

Third-party services

Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity may process analytics information under their own terms and privacy practices. Browser extensions, operating-system services, network providers, and the device manufacturer are outside Uke Tune Along’s control and may have separate data practices.

External links open resources operated by other organizations. Visiting those pages is governed by their policies, not this Uke Tune Along privacy policy. Review a destination before submitting information there.

Children and sensitive information

The public tuner does not require an account and is not designed to collect sensitive personal information. Do not send passwords, payment information, precise identity documents, health records, or private recordings through a support message. A parent or guardian should help a child decide what information is appropriate to share online.

Your choices

You can use reference tones without granting microphone permission, use browser privacy controls or content blockers, clear local browser data, revoke permissions, or stop using the site. If you previously sent a support message and want to ask about it, use the contact details above and provide enough context to locate the conversation without including new sensitive information.

Policy updates

This privacy policy may change when the site adds or removes a feature, provider, or data flow. Material explanations will be updated on this page, and the date in the page metadata indicates the published version. Continued use after an update does not remove choices provided by your browser or device.
