Educational tool

Uke Tune Along provides a free browser-based tuner and beginner learning information. The service is provided for general educational use and does not replace advice from an instrument technician or qualified teacher.

Safe tuning

Confirm that you selected the correct tuning for your instrument and strings. Stop tightening immediately if a string feels unusually tight or damaged. You are responsible for the condition and safe use of your instrument.

Availability and accuracy

Pitch detection depends on the device, browser, microphone, room noise, and playing technique. We aim for a useful and accurate experience but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability or perfect results on every device.

Changes

The site and these terms may change as the project grows. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Uke Tune Along terms of service and acceptance

By accessing the public tuner or learning guides, you agree to use them lawfully and with reasonable care. If you do not agree with these Uke Tune Along terms of service, do not use the site. The tuner can be used without creating an account, and no paid subscription is required for the public features described here.

You may use the tuner and guides for personal learning, teaching demonstrations, and ordinary non-commercial reference. Automated access that disrupts the service, attempts to bypass security or rate limits, or interferes with another visitor is not permitted.

Instrument responsibility

You control the tuning pegs and remain responsible for the instrument, installed strings, device volume, and physical surroundings. Confirm whether the instrument uses Standard High-G GCEA, Low-G GCEA, Baritone DGBE, or another setup before changing tension. String packaging and instrument-manufacturer guidance take priority over a general web page.

Stop immediately if a string is damaged, slips at the bridge, produces unusual tension, or rises beyond the intended note or octave. Uke Tune Along cannot see the instrument and cannot determine whether its bridge, neck, nut, pegs, or strings are safe. A qualified repair technician should inspect physical faults.

No professional warranty

The site is provided on an “as available” basis for general learning. Results can vary with microphone quality, browser support, room noise, overtones, device processing, string condition, and playing technique. Reference frequencies are intended as practical targets, but the service does not promise that every reading, explanation, translation, or external link will always be complete or error-free.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Uke Tune Along disclaims implied warranties that cannot reasonably apply to a free educational website. Nothing on the site creates a teacher-student, repair, legal, medical, or financial professional relationship.

Links may point to information operated by other organizations. We do not control their availability, content, security, or privacy practices. A link is provided for context and does not automatically mean endorsement. Product, browser, platform, and company names remain the property of their respective owners.

Service changes and limitation

Features may be corrected, redesigned, suspended, or removed as the project develops. We may restrict automated or abusive traffic to protect availability. Where the law allows, Uke Tune Along is not responsible for indirect loss resulting from reliance on a pitch reading, interruption, incompatible device, external page, or unsafe instrument adjustment.

Some jurisdictions do not allow every exclusion or limitation, so a limitation applies only to the extent allowed there. These terms do not remove rights that cannot legally be waived.
